Our philosophy
Shirokuma Gijuku was founded in 2016.
Guided by the educational principles of “teaching and nurturing” (教書育人) and “revere heaven, love people” (敬天愛人), we tailor our teaching to each student and aim to help them reach their very best.
Alongside knowledge, we value students’ inner growth, and our mission is to nurture people who care about the wider world.

Our teachers graduated from leading universities in Japan and China, such as Osaka University, Waseda University and Zhejiang University, and all hold N1 — the highest level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test.
With our own training system and extensive teaching experience, we are dedicated, practical, caring and responsible in our work every day.
Our story
Our story
As an education provider offering everything from Japanese lessons and study-abroad placement to admission guidance, we started in Haining and, over several years, expanded to East China and to Tokyo and Osaka in Japan.
We have helped hundreds of students from all over China realise their dream of studying abroad — including many who turned around a disappointing result in China’s entrance exams and went on to top schools in Japan.
This is because we focus on students’ logical thinking, depth of knowledge and values, with an approach that differs from traditional schooling. Through it, many people have grown into contributors to society and bridges for friendship and cultural exchange between Japan and China.
